“An electronic fusion of hip hop, R&B, grime, garage and trap,” is how Liverpool DJ and producer Suedebrown describes his own sound.
The multi-talented 25-year-old’s first step into music began around 2012 when he had the opportunity to produce remixes for a number of artists, including Yolanda Be Cool, Steve Aoki / Iggy Azalea and Sneakbo. His new profile later coincided with a Liverpool DJ residency and shows at Chibuku, Hot Plate and BSSMNT. However his career began to take on new heights in 2016 with the release of his first few records – ‘Nightcall’ and ‘Goddess’ gaining attention and support from the likes of 1Xtra’s DJ Target, BBC Introducing and stations across Europe and U.S. When asked about his highlight so far, Suedebrown replies that it’s “got to be” the Red Bull Culture Clash 2016, which saw him play at the London O2 arena alongside everyone he’s “ever listened to or been influenced by”.
Keeping up the ever-increasing momentum of the Liverpudlian’s career, Red Bull soon asked the producer to feature on its annual mixtape. The resulting track ‘Tonight’ featuring UK singer and songwriter Lauren Faith, whose impressive vocals also feature on the record. ‘Tonight’ went on to gain support by BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra and Beats 1, alongside key electronic music websites worldwide.
In November 2016, Suedebrown started a guest slot mix show for Rinse FM.
Suedebrown is working on his debut EP which is due out early 2017.
